Oy... Robot
The NYTimes has a new article on AI where Kurzweil and Joy are mentioned. It's not clear to me what the position of the Microsoft researcher, Horvitz, is. He seems to be saying that the real threat isn't from the Singularity happening but from a possible luddite backlash to AI that people like Kurzweil might inspire. Let's hope that's the case. We need real scientists to address the Transhumanist movement and denounce it as the psuedo-religious cult that it is.
